Mission: Episode 6 - Point Of Enlightenment
Location: promenade

Scooping up his travel bag from the floor of the transport, Sekat held out his hand to T'Seng in the same motion while he straightened into a standing position. "Are you ready?" he asked her, knowing this would be a massive change from the brief taste of starship life she'd had so far. Since he didn't know if they'd be assigned to the station or to one of the support ships just yet, he assumed they'd be staying on the station for a while.

He studied his mate closely, keeping his senses open for any sign of discomfort. "This will be different from the station you were on for so long," he promised her.

T'seng had grasped upon Sekat's arm, she was slightly leery about a station. She was just a slight amount of worry in case there might be an AI. T'seng did take comfort seeing real people going to and fro about their business and there were not any holo grams. "Just look at that, real live people, I can feel them, I can catch their scent." breathing in through her nose and relaxing just slightly. "Even though they have different scents and even, some of them strong, I am taking some delight in the varied scents." her eyes raising to Sekat's.

Sekat chuckled under his breath as he held her close, his fingers folding tightly around the cane held by his other hand. "You can consider olfactory suppressants, though it does take some getting used to. The smell will pass," he promised her. "What else do you smell?" he then encouraged, knowing these were all very new impressions for her.

T'seng closed her eyes allowing her sense of smell pick up what sort of scents she could pick out. "I can catch the scent of freshly baked bread, and a pumpkin pie in another place. And oh..." she took in another deep breath through her nose, "I can catch the scent of herbs coming from somewhere... it smells so good!" her eyes opened then a pure smile filled with delight.

He smiled, happy to see her happy. "Come, we shall see where those smells come from," he encouraged, "and then we will report in and find our quarters." He paused as a group of children chasing a ball ran by. "Or perhaps the infirmary and the science labs? They probably want to confirm our health before we go anywhere?"

T'seng gave a nod, "Yes that sounds wonderful More exploration, walking on a station under my own power." she laughed with a lot of joy. "Medical, science. I wonder what else they have here. Oh all the people. " Once more gazing around just looking and seeing everything in its full color and texture.

"Where would you like to go first?" He asked, "food? Medical? Science?" His smile widened at her obvious happiness.

"Science first, then we go to medical. And maybe shops in between?" T'Seng giving a giggle. "And I want to try um Cotton Candy?"

He arched an eyebrow at her. "I do not know what that is," he confessed. Not being a man that preferred sweets, he honestly had no idea. "Science it is then...."He consulted his PADD. "Ran by a Lieutenant Commander Han..."

T'seng nodded, "Oh, Cotton Candy is finally spun sugar that looks like cotton. We can get some later on, first thing though Science!" she paused then asked which way to go to find science?"

Sekat shrugged, repeating the question for the computer, asking them to lead the way. "I did not know a Cardassian station could actually do this," he marveled as he took T'Seng by the hand. "Did you?"

T'seng shook her head. "I had no idea it could do that." taking following alongside Sekat. "However this is going to be fun n this exploration."

"Indeed it is," Sekat smiled, watching her as she glanced around in wonder. "We will find a home here," he promised her, "when we are done."

"Done with exploring the place? I do like this idea. I want to work here and live here or on the planet below or both." giving a laugh, "this will be a good development." T'seng replied.

"Obviously," Sekat smiled, "we do need to live somewhere do we not?" He paused when at last they reached the science section. "Are you ready to meet your new colleagues?" He stayed close, like a protective mother hen, ready to pull her to safety if things became too overwhelming.

The door opened and T'seng stepped inside with curious eyes. Inside there were people there, a woman with dark brown hair looked up towards the door. "Oh hello I'm Chief Petty Officer Anja Agapov, may I be of assistance?"

Sekat slightly inclined his head in greeting. "Doctor Sekat, this is my spouse, Lieutenant T'Seng." He indicated the woman next to him. "She is seeking assignment here. Can you assist her please?"

"Certainly I can help out there." she hmmned for a moment or two as she opened up her padd. "Sciences you say? I am sure Commander Han will be able to get her fixed up and added to the roster. Or even I can contact Captain Holt and let her know." Anja's fingers rapidly moving over the padd. She looked up and gave another smile. "Okay we've got that set in motion. And you'll be hearing from them soon enough. Now is there anything I can show you or do you need to go somewhere else?"

Sekat looked to his mate. "Perhaps you would like to look around here and meet people, while I go to sort out quarters and my own assignment?"

T'seng looking with bright eyes at the science department, gave Sekat an embrace. "Okay love, I will be here waiting for you. And thank you." a brilliant smile. "I am so glad we are here together."

Anja stepped forward, "I'll make certain she gets familiarized with what we have here. And welcome to DS21."
