ON

The meeting about Cerberus systems had started to drag on slightly, Is'san gently sipping at his tea, his throat feeling something a kin to sandpaper as he looked around the room. Commander Carter leading the meeting discussing the general repairs needed for the attached vessel.

He coughed slightly as he placed the tea back on the table. "My understanding is sir that Commodore Haistro has already placed a requestion for some of the more complex components for the multi-vector systems and they should be arriving within the next few days. It should prevent us from needing to fabricate them on site which would take considerably longer."

"Agreed. And it will allow me and my team to get started sooner." Hiro said. "On a side note, without the Cerberus out there what other ships are patrolling the region?"

"There are a few ships that do make their way here as this is a focal point a way station you might say, before they head off so we do get reports. Any dedicated ships, we will have at least two that are arriving, on loan until the Cerberus will be back up to par." Tamaska stated.

Is'san started to cough, his slender fingers covering his mouth. It was a deep resounding sound that seemed to fill his chest cavity, forcing blood to the capillaries along the surface of his skin. They felt warm. A little too warm.
"Commander" he addressed his direct superior officer first before looking to the Station commanding officer. "Captain. My apologies. I appear to be a little under the weather!"

Tamaska's brow furrowed upon hearing the cough. "You sound like you need to get checked out." her thoughts going back to when Tia had been not feeling good. "Commander Carter?"

Lillian consulted her PADD. "Starfleet is sending the Repulse, Excalibur and the Thunderchild to hold the fort." she then glanced up "I feel fine." she lied as he adjusted her collar. The back of her neck was covered with sweat but hidden by her hair.

"I would very much like to get a look at the Repulse. She is one of the new Neo-Excelsior Class vessels. Only a handful have rolled off of the assembly line thus far!" Is'san tried to lighten the mood a little with her exuberance but it quickly descended into a coughing fit that seemed to wrack his body.

It was the unsettling feeling of pin pricks of pain that seemed to cascade across her cheeks as he cough and the sensation of something warm starting to travel down his skin emanating from those very same pin prick points.

He wiped a finger through, thinking it would simply be sweat from the illness he was evidently coming down with, he didn't expect to see blood.
"If I may be excused... I think I may need to go to the infirmary!"

Tamaska rose from her chair and looked towards both Carter and Is'san "both of you, get to the infirmary, now!" her voice cracking out sharply. Her eyes softened slightly "Please get that taken care of."

Hiro frowned. Two people getting sick at the very same time was not unheard of, but it wasn't to be ignored either. He looked around at the rest of the group that was present in the Ward Room. "This could be a coincidence. If so, then this is just a bad start of the day. Otherwise we could have a problem."

"I am getting scattered reports from around the ship of similar calls for sickbay. Internal comm traffic has increased." Dean reported. He felt well in himself but if two bridge crew had it then it stood to reason the infection may be contagious. "We may have a bigger problem here if it gets any worse."

Is'san began to rise, pushing himself upright finding his own weight seemed to be amplified and it took effort to stand up fully. He started to move, holding himself with dignity and grace, as he normally would, until he reached the door and found his legs were weaker than he had expected but he was a proud man, this was not going to stop him.

Tamaska took one look and tapped her commbadge, "Two emergency beams to medical now! Commander Carter and Lieutenant Is'san on the double."

"No sir... Please, I would rather walk!" he said gently, determination was not something he was in short supply of.

Tamaska gave a nod, "Then I will walk with you, offering some support. If needed?" the captain walking over toward Is'san was. "Shall we?" she turned to where the others were, "I think we can call this an end to this briefing."
